In summer 2013 I had my initial evaluation at Get Cut Fitness. When the trainer asked me what my fitness goals are I quickly blurted out "I want to lose 20 pounds". The trainer insisted that I not focus exclusively on weight loss and certainly on a number like that. He explained that general health, fitness and core strengthening should be my focus. It took me several months to understand the wisdom of that approach.
After one year of working out at Get Cut Fitness, I have lost much more then my initial goal of 20 pounds and have dropped 6 inches from my waistline! I have more energy, vitality and strength then I did 20 years ago. I have muscle definition that I have never had in my life, and my positive energy is apparent to nearly everyone I deal with.
The trainers as Get Cut Fitness have helped me to adopt a permanent new lifestyle. I watch my diet, I exercise at Get Cut Fitness as well as on my own and I now continually raise the bar on my fitness goals. The trainers are fantastic as they continually teach you exercises you can duplicate at home between sessions. The trainers also have really helped with instilling self-motivation to help me achieve my goals. I also felt great because they were able to push me gently and safely so I didn't have to worry about getting hurt.
For me this has been a life-changing year. My only regret is that I didn't adopt these changes earlier. A big focus now is getting my wife to come to my sessions with me.
